BX snow pushin...

Had a couple inches last week and bout 5.5" last night.

heres my get-up...

fisher 8' plow cut down... float mode works pretty good....
it's nice to be able to stack it up.

never needed chains.... mostly 4wd High

if I need to stack it up high, 4wd turtle speed...

John - years ago a coworker’s husband was laid up after surgery.

Only person he’d let run his tractor was me.

We got about 6” of snow. I ran his BX23s with front blade.

Worked great!

I have a 2001 BX2200 with a 6' plow. Power angle, Has worked great with all kinds of storms. Just use turf tires and 4 wheel drive.

Are you certain it is a 6' plow, not a 60" plow? I have a BX22 and the only plow that it could handle was the 5' (60") plow. I tried a 6' (72") plow on it and it was too heavy for the tractor it also gathered too much snow in front of it and would stop the tractor even when fully angled.

I'll have to go out and measure it again. When turned fully to one side or the other, it is still wider than the tractor. And yes, it we have a deeper snow it will stop the tractor and I have to push stuff to the side. I also have the front snowblower but hardly use it as every time I do, I need to replace a shear pin ot 2

One of the reasons why I made mine non-angle was the compact footprint and also the weight of the fisher blade & cutting edge.

with the straight blade I can get in tight places to back blade with the hydraulic down pressure.

The 'Bota setups ARE lighter than the plow blade I use ... for sure.
But I still didn't want all that hanging off the front of the tractor and my situation is basically straight pushes.

I plan to add some side plates ... like the box pushers have.

I went out today to check on that plow. My memory isn't failing me ( at least not yet ). It truly is a 6' plow. It came off a jeep a long time ago. I had at it with the cutting torch just to reduce the weight.
