On this recently acquired B9200HST, I found the the 4wd engage lever is frozen stiff. I applied rust buster over a couple of weeks and finally just enough heat to be able to remove the lever to see if I could get more penetrate i there, no luck. I purchased a Kubota B9200HST WSM (97897-10131) for this tractor and cannot find any reference to this lever or its mechanical makeup.

Can someone tell me what I should be looking for and/or any fixes, troubleshooting or remedies that I can perform to get this into and out of 4WD without breaking anything? Thanks for the help

Should be in your manual. When I get a chance I will look at the one for my B7200 - I expect the mechanism is similar. I have had mine apart but it was a long time ago. IIRC its just a sliding gear or collar.

I just bought the manual off e-bay and it wasn't obvious to me where to look. I didn't see much of anything that referenced the left side of the tractor, it seems like it just jumps right into transmission disassembly. I appreciate any feedback or docs, Thanks, -Carey

I think you will find it in the differential/ rear axle section. Sorry but I have not had time to look in my manual

Edit: correction - this is 4wd shifter which is located in the bottom of the transmission.

This is the engagement lever:

Which moves this internally:

Thanks!!! That saved me some digging.

I just sols my B7200DT which had lost FWD because the end of the FWD output shaft had sheared. Getting in to that level requires a full disassembly of the transmission. Not sure whats involved in an HST.
