ok so I bought my late model B8200 last year and noticed that my differential lock doesn't want to work sometimes or should I say most the time, it only wants to work in reverse sometimes, seldom does it work going forward, any suggestions as to why it doesn't want to work? also any suggestions on how to free up my brakes? they don't work regardless, I can hit the pedal all he way down for the brakes but nothing works, I bought a new adjusting rod for it and hooked it up and it just bend the rod.

I'm thinking maybe your diff lock just hasn't been used very much and could be sticking a little. I'd just keep working the lever back and forth and hopefully it will work it's self out. As far as the brakes, I have no clue on that one other than replace them.

Sometimes you damn near have to stand on the diff lock to get it to engage on older tractors. And it sounds to me if you're applying the brakes and not stopping then you need new shoes.

I took it to the stealership and they took the old breaks out, there was nothing left on side and the other was just down right stuck.

Im going to call them tomorrow why I just reminded myself to have them check out the differential lock, I wish the damn thing would stay locked in permanently most of the time lol. I almost wish I would've bought the B8200D instead of the E. dang it haha. thanks for the tips. Ill keep y'all posted as soon as i call them tomorrow morning CSDT.

Its not that bad swapping the breakes out yourself. If you can change them on a car you can do your tractor. I did mine on my B6100 and they are automotive style shoes and drums.
