I am in the Portland, OR area. I have an opportunity to buy a B7100 with FEL, 565 hours, one owner, for $5500. It appears to be in good shape. The serial number is B7001-71953.
I can also buy a new 2320 HST w/o FEL for $11200 but as you know for 0 down/0 % interest/ 60 months. I would potentially add FEL later if needed.
My main use is light tilling, light leveling (blade), and primarily moving snowmobile and boat trailers around my lot. (nothing over 2500 lbs.) Approximately 30 hours a year estimate of use.
The advantage of the B7100 for me is its size but still paying half the price of a new model for a 30 year old tractor doesnt necessarily seem prudent especially if say the clutch goes out.
I know the B7100 was Kubota's most sold machine and the 3 cylinder motor has a reputation for being bullet proof.
Can anyone give me their opinion as to which machine would be a better choice and compare new diesel technology to the old. I do intend to keep whichever for the long run.
