B6000E missing part question

Hi,

New to me B6000E seems to be missing a part here. Runs fine though. What is the missing part and how is it connected?

Yes that is where an inline fuel filter should be. There should also be a 12v fuel pump on that side below it.

And then on the other side below the tank is another filter in a spin on plastic cover.

It's been a long time since I laid hands on one but here is what I remember.

Most likely your tractor originally used an electric fuel pump and when it failed it was removed and now just uses gravity feed. A friend did that to his back in early 2000's, only time it caused an issue was uphill on steep, (really steep hills).

The inline fuel filter.
The Kubota part number is 12581-43012.
If you cheap out and get one from Amazon you can have mixed results like me and the plastic can melt.

Looks like those have been removed! I'm trying to get everything back to working original order. Very helpful! Thanks!

Well you're in luck because the wiring harness melted together on one of mine and I had to rewire it last year.
