Hello all:
I have a B6000. It is a really tough little animal. However, I have noticed that the engine is losing power. I know I am using (abusing) this tractor. Pushing a 6' high pile of snow, plowing a 300' road, and clearing driveways is alot. But, it is getting noticably weaker in high gear, in top speed. I know.... Shift to a lower gear. But speed, and keeping the thing moving does make for a faster plow job.
Now for the question. How much, how to tell, and is it worth it to rebuild the engine? Is this a simple ring, valve job? Are these Kubota engines easily (cheaply) rebuild-able?
Any thoughts? Or should I accept that this old girl has lived long enough, and it may be time to slow down a bit, and expect less?
