Anyone ever had their brake pedal jammed up as high as it will go and no amount of stomping will release them?

Is there any linkage I can take off to get the parking brake lever to release?

That happened to me when I first got mine. I pushed down to hard and couldn’t get it to release. I ended up using a pry bar to slide the lock lever off of the pedal. Then I bent it back to the same location. It still works, so no damage done. I don’t push down as hard now.

Thanks Pham. I did the same with a pry bar. I also filed down the last two teeth so it wouldn’t happen again.

Happened to me, no need for using something to pry it, used WD40 to lubricate the teeth and lever, it then released no problem. I also no longer press as hard when locking it.

I wouldn't have filed those teeth down - regular maintenance requires a brake free play check and adjustment if out of spec range. If adjusted a bit tighter as the brakes wear to take out excess brake pedal travel then the park brake lock teeth may not lock anymore with the teeth gone filed off.
