B 1550 Hst. Power steering crapped out. Works when loader is dead headed. Loader works fast when you try to steer. Priority valve???

Yea it sounds like it might be, pull this apart and check all the parts.

Pulled apart priority valve and found 2 nicks by the taper in the bottom valve that screws into the block. Doesn't look machined, to irregular. About 1/4 inch long. Anyone seen this before?

I've never heard of anything that specifically goes wrong with them.
The most common failure of a valve like this is broken springs.

I'm pretty sure Part Number 220 is only a cap it's not a valve or anything more than a way to keep all the parts of the valve in it.

The WSM (aka service manual) covers the valve operation.
You can get a copy of the WSM on Kubotabooks.com, under tractor operation.

If everything in that valve looks good, then the problem is in the FEL valve or the PS unit.
