Looks like there was a break in this morning in the wood pile…I can’t imagine who would have started scattering the pile looking for mice.

The Mrs. Facebook buddies are mortified I use a pair of kitchen tongs to grab them. Those tongs are only used at our fire pit. They’re a cheapie type I never liked for cooking. Guessing I only bought them cause I couldn’t get the good ones.

I have several others that are heavier-duty I use for food…..geez…I was a professional cook for years and also was a Restaurant Health Inspector for years after that …….

I was really fast and good with a knife.

I sometimes gave rookie cooks knife lessons (including sharpening) when I did inspections. Wasn’t part of my job description, but wanted them to work safely.

Geddy was also the “star” of the Dog Walking forecast on our Friday morning news. Neither of us saw it……

Yes, it counts. A cutie and her rooster.

Just make sure no ill-tempered roosters are allowed on your place, they can present a real danger with large, sharp spurs....I'm sure you are aware.


But yes, anything your kids deem a 'pet' is a PET.

The good news is animals take it much better than most humans. That being said we have friends coming to stay that we haven't seen in years so pretty sure we'll be toasting to his speedy recovery later this evening.

Mine are in the bottom crisper drawer in the fridge. Keeps them at the optimum temperature

Well haven't heard anything so how are the two patients doing? We actually had a toast to the two of them just for good luck so hopefully they're both doing well.
