It was fun when we did outside dinner with the 3 kids by the fire.

Lotsa marshmallows for kids and whatever dog we had at the time.

Geddy has only had marshmallows a couple times.

The kids are all grown and gone.

We packed it in at 7:30pm after eating an “Early Bird” dinner.

We’re pretty wild…..😜 At 2, Geddy was ready to come in as well. He has busy days…
Yep Riggs is year and half year old. My kids are 16-14. But I love boxers for family dogs this is our third, they just want to be part a family no matter what we are doing. So when we eat corn he absolutely loves corn on the cob so we bought his own

Do boxers help peel the corn? GSDs like to get in on the action …

So I have been wanting a grapple for my Lx3520 but the damn dog brings every loose stick branch or whole tree right to our yard so I guess when’s it time to cut fire wood I’ll let Riggs do the work 😝 save me a couple bucks.

Spent some time at the new place today and for the first time it started to feel like ours (previous owners have recently moved to their new home). So for first time we took the dogs out to the pasture and back to the river. They got their steps in had a big time. The way those tongues are hanging out, if the grinch doesn’t say ‘no you don’t need a milkshake’, might have to go them some pup cups this evening 😆🥃
Please don't say "Pup Cup" too loud. My mutt will go ballistic! 😆

I’m getting used to my Dad being retired and home more.

We have a little nap mid-afternoon…..(well, Geddy does) and Dad rubs my belly.

Short while after my nap with Dad, I’m out on the front porch with Mom.

My watch/guard dog instincts set in around my Mom….

Geddy also likes fires outside, along with roasted marshmallows of course.

I’m not really sure what the dream was all about today, but he started on the bed, growling and flopping and once on his back he started running…then he seemed to wrestle something in his sleep with some aweful snarling and then ended up on the floor…all while sleeping. His fur is almost back to original length since the shave earlier this summer😆.

Just got a new pup and waiting to pick her up on 10/3. This one is a charcoal lab. She comes from one of the best breeders with over 50 years of champion hunting and field trial pedigree. She will be bred to my silver lab and should make for some gorgeous pups.

I wanna nother pup!
As much as I love our dogs, I admit I’m not a fan of the puppy stage.

Geddy has never done a #2 in the house since he came home at 8 weeks. Probably only peed in the house a couple times.

All three of our boxers have house trained within a couple days but it’s still something I don’t care for.

In about a year I will sell ya one! lol
I am actually planning to become a large breeder of labs in the very near future. I plan to focus breeding hunting and field trial dogs but in the more rare colors (silver, charcoal, and fox).

Our two labs are getting there - 11 and 12 (or maybe 12 and 13, tough to know with rescues). We only had 'real' pups once. That housebreaking experience cured us. Since then they all come to us housebroken. The rescue groups we've dealt with have all been very good about representing the dogs' training.
I just miss the puppyhood stage that usually lasts several years. Farfel, our yellow 11 (or 12) year old was a puppy till he was 10.

Well I did my good deed for the day.

I was working on some equipment in the yard when I found a kitten inside of it.

Poor little thing was in a bad way and probably wouldn't make it.

My coworkers wife picked it up and took it to the vets. It's 2 to 3 weeks old, has an ulcer on one eye and it's eyes are swollen shut.

So they got drops and cream for it's eyes. Picked up some kitten formula.

From the hand size of the picture he sent, it looks like his daughter is the one bottle feeding it.

So I'm sure they have a new cat 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

My new female charcoal lab I got this week. My male silver lab is excited for her to grow up and start a family. 🤣
