My belt is to loose and squeels occasionally. Ac quits working in 10 minutes or so. I see no way to adjust that belt as the idler is behind the muffler. I can't even see any adjustment from any angle. Can anyone tell me how to adjust this belt. I have looked on line and on you tube, they show adjusting, BUT they are not on a L4330 which is obvioiusly different than the pictures on line. Surely I don't have to remove the muffler just to adjust the belt?

The parts list for that tractor shows the tension adjustment is directly under the compressor. In fact it mounts to a slotted bracket that's part of the compressor mounting bracket. It also shows the muffler to be in that area as well, so it's no surprise the space between them is probably not much.

We all know that those who design these things rarely if ever collaborate with the intent to make things simple for those who work on their creations.

Does the muffler have to come off? I can't say, but it sure looks like an adjustment not expected to be done on a hot engine.
