Inside the block on the bottom of the Rear wheel drive lever is a detent (ball and spring) very common for that ball to get stuck and make the lever not move.
So first get some good penetrating oil and give it a good shot and shake the lever back and forth to help possibly break it loose. ;)

I also have 2 other issues with my F2400, maybe you can give me good advice. I have a small oil leak for the rear axle that I'd like to fix. The seal between the part that is fixed and the one that moves need to be replace. I'm not sure how big is this job... I didn't find any video on youtube. I also replaced the gearbox bearing that connect to the PTO few years ago but the gearbox was a bit damaged and the bearing didn't fit perfectly (sorry for my english).

Getting the WSM (AKA service manual) would help you out.

The seal is fairly easy to fix, no special tools required.

The PTO / transmission rear cover is a simple change out.

Your English is better than most that English is their first language! :p
