I hope this is just a mistake but in Kubota's new 2019 Full Line Brochure document (go to kubotausa.com and Search for "2019 Brochure") It says that the B01 Series will have a 3 point hitch with a quarter inching valve . Even the "lowly" B2650 now will only have a quarter inching valve until you get up to the B2650HSDC & B3350HSDC.

Good news that everyone already knows is that the B01 series is getting the Swift-Tach loader and R14 tire option.

Their exact words may be up to intrepretation but the way I see it, when they say this about the Deluxe B series:
"A Category I 3-point hitch (all models) with a position control valve (B2650HSD and B3350HSD, B3350SU offers a quarter inching valve) allows for a multitude of rear implements to meet any customer needs"
To me this means that the B2650HSD, B3350HSD, B3350SU all get a quarter inching valve, and the "all models" (the only 2 left) which are the B2650HSDC & B3350HSDC, they get the position control valving.

Is Kubota really removing Position Control from the B01 and some B50 series?
I was just about to buy a B2601-1 because I thought it would have the Swift-Tach Loader and Position Control. Maybe I should grab a 2018 B2601 quick.

That is both unclear, and unexpected.

Lack of position control is a show stopper for me, which is why I would never consider a BX.

I was aware that the B3350SU lacks PC, which is one of several reasons that I did not consider it when buying my B3350, but certainly would not expect Kubota to remove PC from other B models.

FWIW, JD brought back PC for their premium SCUT models when introduced a few years ago. I expected this to be a trend as others, e.g., MF/Iseki never removed it.

I spent nearly an hour speaking to Kubota marketing types at the Louisville show a couple of weeks ago. I would have asked about this had I known.

I read the relevant text in my 2019 Full Line Brochure, and interpret the language to indicate no change, although the wording is poor.

What is a quarter inching valve?
Moves the three point 1/4" at a pulsed movement of the lever, the three point lever returns to neutral when you let go of it.
Opposed to the position control valve that has feedback and movement of the three point is the same relation as the lever. ;)

A quarter inching valve is a 3 pt hitch that basically goes up and down. You can go up and down in quarter inch moves, but there's no way to go to a set position, other than looking over your shoulder and eyeballing it.

A position control, if set to position 4, goes to a set height. Every time you set it to position 4 your 3pt hitch will be at the same height. Which is really useful for any ground engaging work. But if, like me, you mostly just use your pallet forks to move stuff around, then you don't care much.

I have position and draft on both of my units. Never knew what quarter inching was.... Thanks for explaining it.

Well, that sucks. I was planning on selling my BX23 this year to buy a B2601. Getting positional control on the lift wasn't really a high priority, but I was looking forward to having it. Like the OP, I was going to wait for 2019 to get the improved quick attach of the loader.

I had been debating a bit between the B2601 and the B2650. Guess that gives another perk to the B2650.

As crazy as it sounds, that brochure seems to say the B2650HSD will only have quarter inching control too.

For 2019 there has always been the expected refresh of the B2601 to a B2601-1 model name. Are all of the B series models getting new revisions to coincide with this (possible) loss in functionality?

I took it to mean that the B2650 will have positional but you have the option of a quarter inching valve. Strange option though, unless some people prefer that type.

For anything but a lawn mower, position control is like a remote control TV or cell phone. You may not now know that you need it but once you have it, you will never again be without it.

The B2650 and B3350 are unchanged. The B3350SU is also unchanged but it never had PC.

I wouldn't panic yet until you see it. Kubota is notorious for not describing and translating stuff properly in their brochures and manuals, LOL.
