Good day

First post...here it goes

Have probably spent last 18 months looking for a tractor. Was content if I found one with fel and back blade. I have about 100 acres of bush property mainly composed of deep sand. It's about two miles of Rd that's in gd shape that I just need to fill the odd pot hole here and there. It's not a high speed road so no need for major grading.

I was thinking I wanted a mid 30hp tractor, like an l35, I used one 10 years ago for a job I worked on for a few summers. Those machines are hard to come by in my neck of the Wds. Tractors in general are rare. I live in the northern Canada after all, trees, lakes and more trees. I live in a town of a 1000 and there isn't anything smaller then a JD 210 here.

Anyway I wanted something I could tow with a 1/2 ton, Plow a bit of snow in winter 4-6' total snowfall, collect some firewood/logs with, push the odd trail through the bush with and take out the odd stump.

This B21 came up reasonably close to me that has been best deal to date ($17k ca or $14k us). I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with this machine. It's heavy which is gd for being strong, but is that 21 hp a complete dog? I like the fact it's a tractor and built well I just worry the first little incline or 10" stump, in sand, I'm going to be disappointed. I've been hmming and haaaaaing about this for a couple weeks so a little insight would be appreciated.

Thx

I just sold my B21 and it was a great machine. Well powered for its size I just bought a B26 and it's perfect. Noticeable power increase when doing loader and back-hoe work. But the B21 was a great machine

Thx for the info. It seemed to be a popular rental machine.
I would jump on it ......specially if they are hard to come by in your area.....
once you get it - you will have wished you got it much sooner!!!!

good luck with your purchase!

When I started looking for my tractor I looked at tractorhouse.com everyday to get pricing on all models. It's a good reference point plus it gives you contact information to ask any questions about condition etc. That being said, others with first hand experience with that model will be of great help as well.
