An individual must provide a reasonable use for purchasing Diadmaster.
You must attend training at a Kubota Industrial Engine dealer site (usually Anderson Industrial Engines).
You must pass the extensive test to be issued a license.
You must pay a yearly fee to renew your license and complete follow up training as required. So far this year I have been issued over 20 hours of on-line courses and 2 dozen tests.
Follow-up training may be in-person or online, you must pass any and all tests.
You are responsible for your use or misuse of Diagmaster.

Typically, most non-dealers with Diagmaster are rental companies or large fleet owners.
So effectively unavailable to owners and a real hassle if you are a local repair shop contemplating adding Kubota compact tractor owners to your clientele.

No discount. Your payoff amount is remaining principle. The balance includes remaing (unused) insurance premiums that will be refunded if you payoff the loan and coverage ends early.

Dan.
Got it. I think. I thought KTAC was for 5 years, independent from the loan.

So, paying off early would be a mistake.. If it ends my KTAC.

Or are there insurance premiums footed by the bank to insure the loan? That I am actually paying for?

I am not aware of any insurance in the loan beyond KTAC. My understanding is if you payoff early you can obtain new KTAC coverage under new terms.

If you are going to keep the machine paying off early seems rather foolish in general. However I find myself in an interesting situation. I have 4 years remaining on my loan and i am looking at undergoing a double lung transplant in the next few months. I have contemplated paying off the loan so my wife would not have to deal with it should I depart this world sooner than hoped.....

Is any sort of "loan insurance" available?

If you pay down your loan to a low amount, you will have the advantage of a low balance and continued full KTAC coverage. It is what we did, and I just put a reminder/alert on my calendar to make the last two payments - several years from now. If you pay the loan off early, you lose the replacement and other coverages that the original KTAC provides.

Not to dig up an old post, but I am.

I am looking at about 2 years left on my zero APR Kubota loan for my LX2610. I requested a payoff letter from K finance and is a decent percentage ($700 on a 14 to 15K balance) BELOW my loan balance.

In the letter they explain that my KTAC insurance ends at the loan payoff. I get it. I pay it off early, and my KTAC insurance ends at payoff. BUT..... a big BUTT....

But.... I paid the full amount for 5 years of KTAC, completely separate from the loan. I paid cash for 5 years of KTAC. It wasn't part of the tractor purchase loan.

Comments appreciated.

Be well. Tractor on.

Maybe that is why you're getting $700 off? If that is all I was going to save over two years with insurance, I'd be keeping my month bill.

..decided to service the fuel system before attempting to start it by cleaning the water separator, replacing the fuel filter, filling with fresh diesel. Noted to have thick sticky amber residue in the water separator...local dealer (not the one I bought from)... took off injectors and found that same residue throughout the fuel system and described it as a corrosive sticky substance. ....
There are two issues I would like to learn more about from this thread. What is that residue? Diesel fuel is usually pretty stable. It can get contaminated with water. It can get contaminated with algae, It can get contaminated with sediment in fuel cans. As someone mentioned, having it tested/analyzed is a good idea.

Why can't the fuel system be flushed/cleaned?
I know it's because of the common rail system, smart injectors, but I don't exactly know why they are impossible to clear. If fuel can flow through the components, why can't cleaner/solvent? I'd like to learn more specifics about this.

Again, I have minimal knowledge about common rail injection systems. I put this video up without an opinion.

Not sure if it is the same for y'all south of the border, but when I bought my M7060 last fall they offered 0% for 60 months but the administration fee and monthly required Kubota insurance came to (approx) $129.00 a month for those 60 months. $4000.00 off for paying cash was much better! All I'm saying is 0% offers may not really be 0%.
Yes, but you are also getting KTAC insurance, which is really good.

I recall when I purchased my LX2610 in 2020 that they informed me that KTAC was only valid until the loan was paid off. Not saying that I agree with the policy, but my dealer at least made me aware of it.
