    Starter Motor gear removal

THANK YOU! That is an awesome tip. I love videos that are short, to the point and get the job done. I figured it had to be something simple but I just couldn't see how to do it. Now I know.

    Starter Motor gear removal

This is the best picture I can get of the metal collar that covers the ring. A dental pick might be able to get in there if I could get enough pressure to pull one end out. There must be an easier way ...

    Starter Motor gear removal

I found a new/used starter motor for my BX2200 that has a problem with the selenoid. The new one doesn't have the gear on the end so I was in the process of changing it when I couldn't get the gear off the arm of the old one. Mine has a metal collar that has a ring inside it. You can't just...

BX2200 front axle rumbling on 4x4

OK finally got a chance to go through this. When I put tractor in 4wd, I get exactly the same response as not in 4wd. I started the engine and made sure everything was correct, same result. Anyway, it appears that the sloppiness is in the differential gear assembly. It could also be the u...

BX2200 front axle rumbling on 4x4

Thanks for the help. I will try that tomorrow if the weather is decent. :)

BX2200 front axle rumbling on 4x4

Thanks, I'll try spinning the wheels and see. I know the u joints on the shaft are suspect. They turn fine by hand but the front end is also fine on low speed. It's anything above low speed with a load on it that becomes a problem. I'll look at the schematic and see what's inside the axle.

BX2200 front axle rumbling on 4x4

I've got an older BX2200 with a lot of hours and the front axle is vibrating, rumbling when it's on 4x4. I've been using it a lot with snow plowing this year and it's definitely getting worse. Fluids are good. Looking for a quick (if any) way to diagnose exactly what the problem and solution...

Need hydraulic help, please. Snow blade won't turn right

I'm not totally understanding what this means. I think you are saying that to go right, you use both the left plus the left valves. That is possible. On the other posts, either I'm not writing things out clearly or people are not reading everything. If I reverse hydraulic lines to the left and...

Need hydraulic help, please. Snow blade won't turn right

Thanks for the replies. I did swap the lines and the problem is reversed so it's definitely on the wiring or the valves. BUT I bench tested all the solenoids and all the valves and all are OK. They all move with current and appear very clean. No time to spend on it today. We had almost a foot...

Need hydraulic help, please. Snow blade won't turn right

Thanks for the replies. I bench tested all of the coils and valves and one seemed to be a bit wonky so I bought both parts new and it made no difference.:( So, I switched hoses today and the blade easily swings in the opposite direction with no problem. I removed both lines and when...

Need hydraulic help, please. Snow blade won't turn right

It's an electric switch controller, not hydraulic. So it goes left, off, right.

Need hydraulic help, please. Snow blade won't turn right

I bought a used L2061B snowblade for my old BX2200. It has obviously been remade at least once to fit various tractors and it included a power hydraulic pack which is need for my BX, since there is no auxiliary hydraulics on it and this would be so much easier for me. All the cylinders worked on...

    hood repair or replace

I had a tree branch fall on my hood. Some idiot had a tree fall in the wrong direction.:o I checked out the prices and flipped. I just removed the hood and run it with the hood missing. Looks like sh#t but nobody ever steals a Kubota that looks like it's on it's last hour. If you were selling...

BX2200 starting error with new wiring harness - help please

Thanks so much for the help. I finally found the problem and you were right, it was a fuse but not sure if it was the same one you mentioned. What confounded the problem is that the fuel cut-off had been removed as well as the timer delay. As I said, this Kubota was in bad shape and the old...

BX2200 starting error with new wiring harness - help please

I bought a badly abused BX2200 and slowly getting everything back in working condition. Everything necessary to mow and use the pto was working and i am finally changing the wiring harness as it was badly ripped apart and the lights and guages were not working. I hooked everything back up on...

    Water in fuel question.

I changed the filters, bled the lines, added fuel conditioner and everything is back to normal. It does take awhile to get fuel flowing again after both filters are changed.

    Water in fuel question.

Correct, both filters are identical. Also correct that it could be just condensation in the tank. We've had some freezing temps at night, then warm in the day. I have conditioner but usually don't use it until early winter. Still, I thought condensation was more of a problem in much colder...

    No Power

I've had this happen and it was a bad connection at the terminal, even after cleaning them a few months earlier. He says he cleaned them but I would do a test on the terminal connectors and see if that checks positive. It happened to me while loading wood. 10 min later, no power. Tap on the...

    Water in fuel question.

I had some stalling when running my BX2200 yesterday and just had a feeling it felt like bad fuel. I removed the second fuel filter on the side of the engine and found half an ounce of brown water coming out of it. Not good. Then I removed the deck and the 1st fuel filter and there it was...

Front Drive Shaft falling off on BX2200

Thanks for the reply. The UJoint is locked on one end with a bolt which replaced the Kubota pin and cotter pin. It's the other end of the UJoint that is coming off. The parts schematic shows that there is nothing holding the shaft to the UJoint on that end. Very strange. I set the shaft back...
