    Yes, it acts just like a safety switch opening. Definitely could be a wiring issue per Lugbolt above. I appreciate everyone's input!

    Yes, I had changed the fuel filters, but it wouldn't hurt to do it again, especially if there's a good bit of trash in there. I will definitely go through all the wiring, given the starter and also a non functioning fuel gauge on the left tank I hadn't mentioned.
