I cut the handle off and made it a straight shaft and put a cordless drill on the end.

I know that. What I'm saying is when the 3 point hitch is fully raised the mowing deck hasn't raised enough to allow the deck height knob to rotate past the 4 setting. If I remove the drive over deck sub-frame and then raise the 3 point hitch I can rotate the knob completely.

I have a BX 1870-1 with a BX2751 quick hitch which I use with a snowblower and 60" plow. I just bought a 2370 and it appears I need to buy a longer PTO shaft. Can I just buy part number 70060-02338 and call it a day or do I need to replace the output shaft PN 70001-00772...

Is the area circled in red what I should be spraying with WD 40?

I haven't used the PTO lever since I finished mowing in September. I always store the tractor in the garage. Do I need to remove the tire to get to where the shaft goes into the housing?

I can't seem to move the lever that engages the PTO on my BX1870. The lever that selects Front/Mid/Front and Rear works smoothly. I can't see anything that's blocking the lever from moving.

They drilled the old pin out. If you look at the photos in this thread you will see the shaft and auger holes are offset and the pin could NOT be tapped out.

I ended up bringing it to my dealer and they ended up drilling it out. Sooo, I've invested in some metal drill bits but I think I will try the hammer idea if it happens again.

I haven't taken anything off the back. What do I have to remove from the back? Just the chain gear?

I have removed every bolt from the front of the 5450 snowblower but I can't remove the auger and gear box. What am I missing?

The pictures show the auger in both possible orientations with the shaft in the two possible positions.

It's a 5450 and the photos should work now.
