    Hydraulic valve problems

So, I bought a new loader valve for my l185f over the winter. I finally put it on. Unfortunately it does not work properly. It has a float option. It's a dukes 1225bk ,it was supposed to be the right one for my tractor. The loader lever locks on the up position and on the down position. The...

Woods 48" billy goat m4-1 rotary cutter

I know I never updated this thread but here goes. The rebuild did not go quite as I hoped. I could not make the shaft so I had a shop make it. I gave them the print I recieved from woods. Well they could not follow the print if they tried. I didn't measure the shaft when it was finished. I...

    Forks on l185?

With some asking at John Deere dealer ,because the kubota dealer had no answer. When you make a attachments with the 3pt hitch, you measure the distance across the 3pt hitch which is 26 inches then measure up to your level top link making a triangle so 3 sides are equal at 26 in. Then measure...

    Forks on l185?

So I'm getting ready to weld the sleeves on the carriage for the 3 pt hitch. So since I've never done this before here's how I am setting it up. I parked the tractor on a flat surface. Then I put the forks on the carriage and backed the tractor up to it. I Ajusted the 3 pt hitch bars until the...

    Forks on l185?

Update on forks, I decided to make 3 point fork setup for the rear. I made a bracket for the top link to hold the top of the forks. Found 7/8 id sleeves to weld on the back of the fork carriage. Hope to get it done this week.

    L185dt year

1977 L185dt L185dt -50510 I'm going to pick this 1977 up in a couple weeks, it starts runs has a slight knock in it on the rear cylinder when cold. PO says was low on oil got hot and seized up but when it cooled off started right back up. The l185dt and the l245dt must share the same front...

Going to look at L185dt with possible spun rod or main

Yes I'm doing the labor, the person that has it said he ran it like that, making rapping noise. So now I'm looking at worst case scenario.

Going to look at L185dt with possible spun rod or main

So it looks like a crank could cost up to $500. For a refurbished one or used. Then bearings $150. Of course splitting the tractor to get the engine out. I'm thinking $2k to get it back running.

    Mice

I did the bait stations all around the property. As well as the Tom cat sticks in the corners of the building with a "v" shaped piece of plywood with cut outs screwed to the corners. This really took care of the mice.

Going to look at L185dt with possible spun rod or main

So I am going to look at a l185dt that may have a spun rod or main. It looks to be well used. I may trade the PO for some items I have for it. This would be a long term project. I have a good l185f but the 4wd would be a plus.

New cutting edge on fel bucket!

So today I thought I would attack the fel bucket edge. I saved my old fisher cutting edge from last year. 5/8 thick . I cut the old one off and welded the fisher edge on. Weld all the way across on the inside and 6-4" spots along the back. I left it proud on the ends so I can reinforce from the...

Loader valve, victor, dukes, now qcc

Sorry I was not that clear about the pump. It is in the original spot on the engine.the paperwork that came with the pump stated 5.3 gpm at 2200 rpm. I bought it off of eBay a couple years ago when the original one was barely putting out any pressure, the fel would creep up.

Loader valve, victor, dukes, now qcc

Thank you, now I understand I did not know that the valve powered the 3 point hitch. So in reading about all the valves they all have a power beyond option. Some have a block off plug others don't so I need to decide which one will work best for my pocket.
