    Operating the L3901

    I have a l3800 with the bh77 and 16" bucket. I believe Kubota offers an optional 24" bucket with this backhoe. My soil is hard packed with quite a few large rocks. I think the 16" is the largest bucket that my backhoe would efficiently dig in my soil.

    I believe that is where the Kubota thumb attaches. At least that's where it attaches on my bh77.

    thinking of downsizing.. L3200hst to B3350hst with a cab

    I believe the l3200 is a larger frame and weighs more than the b3350. I think that all of the implements the o.p. listed Will work just as well on the b3350. I have a l3800 and do not think it would be a very good candidate for an aftermarket cab.

    L3901 and L3301

    Make sure your hydraulic lines going from the tractor to backhoe is connected. If one of the lines came loose it interrupts the tractors flow of hydraulic fluid and it will make a lot of noise.

    Just curious on how much you paid for your l3901 and backhoe? Also, wondering about fuel consumption on your l3901? My l3800 seems to burn about a gallon an hour.
