    B20 - Cobbling Together a Throttle Cable

My B20's accelerator cable became sticky and started freezing last winter .... it turns out the cable housing is cracked, peeled and kinky. I've got the part number, but it's no longer made, and at 71" appears markedly longer than any Kubota cable in current use. If I cut-to-fit one from an...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

All work and no play ... so, I hosted a Backhoe Basketball competition for a men's gathering. No Kubotas (or men) were injured in the making of this film.

[IMG] Hosted a faith-based men's night and had Backhoe Basketball on the menu. Yes, yes, there were lots of rules ... lawn endured unscathed.

    3 point roller

I have a 48" (about 20" diam.) one I picked up for $80 that I used for my 1.25 acre lawn install. It's about 300# empty (heavy homemade framework) and I'm guessing 750# when full of water). Even with rounded ends (it was made from an LP gas tank), it still displaced a quantity of dirt in forced...

Will a BX move a 6000 lb camper around the yard?

If you are indeed on level ground and t-u-r-t-l-e speed, here's a thought regarding eliminating the tongue weight issue: Buy a HF trailer maneuvering dolly for $50ish, add a "U" shaped trailer hitch at the T handle. Raise ball into hitch, connect to your BX with locked brakes, and go. Caution...

    Battery Lawn Mower.

You might consider a robotic mower. I have a Husqvarna 450X on my 1.25 acre lawn (I figured the B20 with a finish mower compacted the lawn soils too much). No muss, no fuss ... returns to charger by itself! You could leisurely sip beverages on the patio while the neighbors fuss over fuel...

Kubota B20 - What size (Flail) Mower and Blade Box?

I have a B20. At the risk of a "nevermind" as in a Chevy Chase - Jane Curtin SNL news/opinion skit, if you mean a 4' box blade, I have a 4' and I think a 5' would be fine ... and more useful since a 4' is narrower than your tire stance. If you can judge flail power requirements by comparison to...

    What's wrong with this picture?

What I see as wrong is that, at least in this corner of the country, the plaintiff is entitled to collect from whichever defendant has the money, so if the [insert favorite adjective here] student is X% at fault, the [insert favorite adjective here] university is Y% at fault, and the [insert...

    B20 Electrical Issue

Solved! Found a diagram and, based on that, a bundle of four glass tube fuses in in-line holders, one 15A of which looked fine in its window but had some melted solder at one end. Replaced it and all the dead stuff came alive. I used a standard yesteryear (i.e., not one of the spaded, color...

    B20 Electrical Issue

I was merrily pushing snow with my B20 when the headlights went dark and the engine shut down. It restarted 2 minutes later, so I finished and parked. Upon return for more fun, here's what I have and don't have: Working: starter, glow plug indicator (so I'm assuming the plugs are heating)...

    What is/was your Profession?

Small town lawyer. Brothers (retired accountant & equip. salesman) both have L-series. The salesman says that with his additional power (29 hp compared to my B20 @ 20) he can move more dirt, but my counter is that I can move dirt quicker and deeper (I'm the only one with a hoe) ... and so goes...

The day I almost died on my Kubota...

Good lesson ... but the more gore the better the scare, at least one would hope. A former client's early twenties kid jumped off the tractor while chopping silage, and the instant his leg touched the spinning PTO shield (it wasn't tethered) he was pantless and single-legged. Sued, won a...

B20 front axle fluid level ?

The Operator's Manual doesn't refer to a fill level, but it does identify quantities: Front axle differential case - 2.1 liter/2.2 quarts Front axle gear case (right & left) - .5 liter/.5 quart The WSM isn't any more specific. It recites the same quantities and simply says: "After draining...

    B20 Box Blade size??????

I have a 4' for mine and covet a 5' (it needs 54" to span the tire tracks), but $125 was too good a price to pass up and I've only seen them in 1' increments, so I'll make do. It hardly knows the 4 footer is there, so I can't imagine you'd have trouble with the 5'.

    B21 backhoe removal problem

100 td That would explain a lot ... I was thinking the hoes were identical and we were on different planets. Mine is a BT750. To the rear the pin merely passes through a hole in a plate, but to the front near the cradle & peg it passes through the bushing I mentioned. I've [tried to] attach a...

    B21 backhoe removal problem

Just to be clear ... on my B20 the BH's beveled retention pins (the combination of beveling and a pushing spring would appear to prevent any play between the tractor-mounted pegs and the BH's pin cradles) were frozen in place and the cam levers that slide them were free (at least they were ready...
