I'd add the larger diameter the better. Also recommend a locking block model. Why? If you have a brush hog lifted for transport down the road, it will gradually work its way down due to the momentum generated when you hit bumps. That's a lot of torque that translates to pull on the cylinder.

Two normal ways: 3rd function or diverter switch. I'm on the diverter but will likely pull that as I put in the 3rd function this year. If using a diverter, just use it to adjust the deflection and turn the switch back to chute rotation. That way you don't cook the solenoid on the diverter.
