I spent all day running the tractor up and down the hills dumping storm debris into my burn pile. Today definitely felt like spring. Mowing season is quickly approaching…

We were fortunate, the severe storms went eat of us. We got a little rain, much cooler today. Although they have put out alerts that we are in for severe weather Tuesday night and Wednesday and will receive 5+ inches of rain through Saturday.

Everyone talking about mowing and I'm sitting here looking at my lawn.

I didn't bother plowing haha...left several inches of snow in the driveway. It's all gone now. I saw people plowing and destroying their lawns and driveways. The town plowed and all along the side of the road they tore the sides up. It's an absolute mess. People who have their houses close to the road have huge piles of sod and dirt now.

Potential job opportunities for me? Haha

I didn't see the appeal until I got my kubota zd71. That thing is a game changer.
I have an older cub cadet I got in 2010 new with a Kawasaki engine and it's been a great mower. Did put better turf tires on it which made a huge difference.

After 3 years of block and tackle logs I’m day dreaming of a new MX 6000 every day.
hopefully in next few months as I can’t wait to lift, pull and landclear like a human.
Welcome to the forum.
Once you purchase one, you will wish you would have done it years ago!

I was mowing the field with a cub loboy 154 for years. It was maybe a 1970's. Then I got the kubota zero turn used in 2010, it was a 2002 model. Life was so much better. Cut mow time from ~2hr to 20min.

I couldn't go back to a rider I don't think. The zero turns are so much faster and feels more stable too. I mow mine and my neighbors mow-able areas which equal to around 6 acres or so in only a couple hours. The Zero turn was a great investment no doubt.

I'd love a bigger deck though. Mine is just a 50 inch but I'd love a 60 inch. Just won't fit in the shed 😂

I recently found a way to cut my mowing time in half...

This pic represents 2/3 of my ZT addiction...😆

Well here's another one for ya brother. Had just got finished with the first cut of the season. Just before a few sprinkles.

Quite sunny 10 minutes before.

Had that a/c on full blast too.

What % of tint do you have? I'm getting mine done but can't go too dark because I blow a lot of snow at night.

I was looking at getting a zero-turn until finding out how fun they are on steep hills...which is to say if the rear wheels lose traction the front aren't going to stay put. I have big rock outcroppings and smashing into one of those is going to damage something.
