Has anyone installed a hydraulic dump kit on the XG850 (kit purchased from dealer)? I'm having 2 issues. I can't figure out where the wire cable from the stopper goes, from the directions it looks to attach to the frame which doesn't make sense. Also I finished hooking up the wiring but I'm getting no movement in the cylinder, not sure if there's a missing step in the directions.

Can you post the wiring diagram or the kit part number OR both?

never seen one m,be nice to see the install manual....
since you say 'wiring and hydraulic' , I'll assume similar to 99.44% of all 'dump trailers'....12v DC motor drives pump, control valve to direct oil to cylinder ?
so simple questions
1) does the motor actually spin ?
2) did you put hydraulic oil in the reservoir ?

OK.. finally found this..about 10 versions of '850s' here in Canada, .though listed as 'electric' not 'electric/hydraulic' BUT... #060 looks to me like a totally self contained motor/pump/reservoir/cylinder so does THIS look like what you have ? page says it's a $4000 Canadian price !

If 'pump' doesn't make a noise, see if there's an inline fuse holder missing the fuse or machine's 'fuse block' doesn't have one ??
Without the install manual I'm guessing but it seems like a very simple unit.

The cable goes through the hole in the frame, then is inserted through the loop, the other end is attached to the safety stop.

It is an electric actuator, there is no hydraulic pump involved.

I installed one a year ago, it is a simple installation. I am drawing a blank on the ground connection though.

Thanks for the reply whitetiger. It should be a simple install which is driving me crazy that I can't figure it out.

With the safety cable looped through the frame and attached to the stopper I'm not sure how it engages, can you send a pic?

The wiring is straight forward but I'm worried I have a bad connector or harness. I've tested the switch, relays and fuse but I'm not getting any power to the cylinder. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a hidden step I missed.

re: Wt's post...
It is an electric actuator, there is no hydraulic pump involved. seems there's TWO versions...but
seems K7811-99670 refers to an electric/hydraulic kit, small motor spins pump to valve to cylinder

Pictures would be real nice to see ! The drawing I posted in #3, does show an 'all-in-one' unit #060 electric/hydraulic device.

If it IS as I kinda found it online, it is a simple device, You do need a GOOD ground as the motor will take 10-30 amps ?? I'll assume there's an inline fuse holder ? Again pictures are needed. Maybe post the installation papers ? Surely there's some write up about 'how to operate' it.
Connector could have 4 wires, +12, ground, 'up' and 'down'. 'up' powers the motor, life well lifts... 'dn' open a valve to allow oil to return, lift goes down by gravity.
I'll try to help but need more information.

Thanks Greenvillejay, that is it. It is electric over hydraulic. It was cheaper here in New York but still $1200, and it doesn't sound like they sell to many of these from talking with my 2 closest dealers. I wanted it installed before I bought the RTV but they convinced me the manual dump is all I need, my wife disagrees. A different dealer I bought the dump kit from was even shocked at the price.

Checked the switch, relays and fuse, no noise at all. It is a very simple install, I 'm guessing I have a bad unit, just wanted to check I didn't miss the o-duh solution.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll re-check the ground. I'll post some pictures to help show what we've got.

How does it connect 'to the battery' ???
If through the existing wiring of the machine, maybe there's a 'primary' fuse that's blown or ,hmmmm.. not installed ?
I have seen that on pickups where NO relay 'under the hood' for the trailer wiring feed......

sorry, but only so many straws in my hay bale. Nice and SUNNY here though !!

Ok, there are two versions of the actuator for spark ignition RTVs. Most models use the common all-electric unit, the RTV-XG850 uses an actuator with a small hydraulic pump and cylinder unit.
