Thanks to all for the feedback. Dropped the belly pan and drained out excess. As an FYI, I tried to buy a fuel transfer set up relatively cheaply to drain through the dipstick tube to no avail. I had hoped to avoid removing the plug again as the ground to upright effort is getting harder and harder!

Looks like I may have about half a quart extra oil in the BX23. Should I be worried? How much overfull is too much overfull?

The title seems to be a bit misleading. Messicks is saying they didn't recommend the BX as a "lawn tractor", which I agree with. I have a separate lawn tractor for mowing and the BX for other work. I have been very happy with the BX on my 3 acres, and it is perfect size for my needs.

And also check the front axle fluid level. I'd bet it's low.

It brings up a question. How sensitive is a diesel engine to washing? I have a BX23S, if I was to was the engine am I doing harm?

Could it be as simple as the seat switch? The seat was turned backward for backhoe operation?

Don't give up on it too soon. Kubotas are very easy to maintain, you have an issue that can be fixed with some advice of folks on this site. The BX23S is a very reliable machine, once you get over this issue you are likely to be problem free for a good long time. Do your oil and fuel filter...

All good points. I agree on the BXpanded under armor as well, they also have other great products. I too bought the 3PH, however like many BX23 owners on here I am trying to sell it, still in the bob brand new. I've only had the BH off a few times for maintenance on the machine. That being said...
