Remodeling the back porch so I don't get sued when someone breaks their $%# on the slick tile some moron put in. Paid a little extra to expand as well. Got a nice discount for hauling all the dirt away and digging it out with the FEL. Did the garden since I had to put the tiller on to break up the dirt.

Finally finished the wiring for my modified instrument cluster and put it in the tractor. While I was at it I measured the glow plugs and found a faulty one, replaced it and white smoke after starting is gone now.

Starter did not always work reliably, thanks to the LEDs on my home brewed combination box the problem could be identified immediately as an intermittent contact on the glow position, a small software change and starter problem was gone (have to replace starter switch though).

Machine ran fine and I cut the grass. Instruments showed funny values sometimes, looks like a ground fault, have to check that. And having proper values on the instruments now I could see that the engine is running too cold, so will change thermostat tomorrow.

The G1900 looks a bit stupid now with the front axle done and the rear wheels rusty. Probably have to tackle the rear axle rather earlier than later :)

It was a nice afternoon and evening so I spent some time on both tractors working on the second driveway. I'm slowly cutting off the top soil and getting the width set. I need to hook up the big dump trailer to the M-1078 to make it more efficient when moving the dirt to a staging area. I ran six or seven bucket loads over to the dirt pile but it's way too slow and inefficient doing it that way.

If this weather continues I'll probably take the snow blower off the MX and put on the box blade or land leveler to help with grading. The Buhler/Farm King rear blade behind the M6060 continues to impress. Kind of like a bulldozer but with the blade at the rear.

From your post it sounds like you built your own system controller also? (I may have missed reading about that?)
Not sure, Kubota calls this thing "combination box", the box doing the pre glow timer and the safety functions and the engine stop. Mine was faulty so I designed my own. I included the status LEDs, error blink codes in the dash board (with glow light) and an override start mode where you can start the engine despite safety switches not being where they should be. I described it here: G1900 combination box electronics

Below two pictures with the cable connected and electronics in the box, not potted yet, want to do further testing first.

@Hugo Habicht : What are you using to make those labels? The closest I've found capable of doing that is a NIIMBOT B21, though I haven't seen white on black labels that wide for that machine.

Maybe Brother TZE-355 or something by DYMO (3/4" max???)? Panduit and Brady don't have anything that wide that I'm aware of.

Checking tire pressures and general maintenance today. I found it interesting with the quick warmup we experienced today it was easy to see how much ballast was in my tires.

For the design I use Visio (Version 5, before Microsoft messed it up). For prototype stuff I use an old Minolta laser printer with laser printable self adhesive vinyl sheets. But those labels I got printed professionally by a company in Germany together with the overlay for the instruments. They print everything for you, any material, any size and at a very good price. Their web site is https://www.wir-machen-druck.de/ (I hope it is ok to post external links).

The material is actually white with black printed around it. They can also print white but the file generation is a nightmare, a friend working in publishing had to do that for me. I got white printed on clear foil for the dashboard lamps (like the original Kubota style) but decided for coloured symbols with black around in the end.

By profession I design electronics, mainly with embedded controllers, this makes it very easy to change functionality by changing software. But working on old Kubota tractors is way more fun :giggle:

I want a box blade...but they are probably gonna cost 10x as much now. Maybe I should build my own.
You can find plenty of Land Pride BB1260 or BB1266 box blades at Kubota dealers for around $1k. I paid $2,100 for an 84" Everything Attachments Xtreme Duty box blade in March of 2021 and it was worth every penny.

I'm worried about the tariffs making the cost of the metal skyrocket and increasing the cost of the implements. I know some land pride stuff is made here so those should be ok but I'm not sure about the box blades.

Smoothed driveway out a little with the box blade.

I envy the levelness of your driveway.

I didn't have a clue when I did the first "install" of our driveway. We had no way to get down to the house, so I just started draggin. What a mistake that ended up being.

And because of that, I bet I've watched roughly $3500 worth of limestone wash away in about a couple year span. These 2 pics are just before we started bringing in limestone.

So this year I decided to start clearing our pond road, and will double as our main driveway. You'll have to drive around to our house, and kinda through our blueberries in one section, but no more limestone washing away.

It's that time of year... Changed oil and filter. Changed tranny filter. Changed oil in the mower deck and lubed everything. Installed sharpened blades and put the deck on. Ready for Spring & Summer!

We have a short slope down to the road. It’s kind of steep. That’s washed out in the past.

Fingers crossed 🤞, over the years I’ve got a decent handle on water control so it doesn’t sheet flow down the driveway to the road and wash my driveway out.

Probably just jinxed myself…..shouldn’t have said that…..😳😳

Make that burner Facebook burner account yet?? 😄 Plenty of box blades out there, might even find an implement dealer near you you didn't know existed.
