12 volt HF fuel transfer pump and a 15 gallon barrel set on a 2 wheel dolly
I was scrolling thru looking at pictures and missed your description Skeets!12 volt HF fuel transfer pump and a 15 gallon barrel set on a 2 wheel dolly
It is a 12 volt DC fuel transfer pump from HF, I think it was around 60 bucks when I bought it, one thing, it pumps fast I dont know what the flow rate is but it dont take long to fill a tank !What pump is that you are using skeets? would like to make something like that, I have the tank and cart.

I thought these tanks are only for combustible liquids and not flammable. I looked into setting our mowing trucks up with a similar setup since we moved from diesel mowers to gas. Caught some pushback from the higher ups, we’ve been using 5 gal cans.I built a fuel trailer with a nominal 105 gallon diesel tank (nominal!) and a 50 gallon gas tank on a HF trailer:

Biggest mistake: Installing a 125 vac Filrite pump on the diesel tank instead of a 12 vdc pump.
You can buy DOT legal, Gasoline transfer tanks.I thought these tanks are only for combustible liquids and not flammable. I looked into setting our mowing trucks up with a similar setup since we moved from diesel mowers to gas. Caught some pushback from the higher ups, we’ve been using 5 gal cans.
Yea, they ‘spensive! And FTG’s don’t look like it is.You can buy DOT legal, Gasoline transfer tanks.
I looked at them today they have gone up to about $140. I think I will wait for a sale and grab one.It is a 12 volt DC fuel transfer pump from HF, I think it was around 60 bucks when I bought it, one thing, it pumps fast I dont know what the flow rate is but it dont take long to fill a tank !![]()
What did you use on the tank for the fittings for the sight gauge. I have a meter on mine and a spreadsheet that I keep track of how much I put in and take out. I also use the spreadsheet to tell me how much weight is in the tank so I can figure how much fuel I can add when I take it to the station to "fill" it. The L3901DT won't pick it up if I fill it.My personal setup. 50gal and hand pump. Homebrew sight gauge.
Weld in bungs. 3/4” or 1/2” for the drain and 1/4” for the gauge. Found them online. Www.Bungking.comWhat did you use on the tank for the fittings for the sight gauge. I have a small BX tractor, so filling is done from several 5 or 6 gallon jugs. Like what most everyone has. I threw away the stupid nozzle that came with each jug. I have 6 jugs all seem to be different makes, and accumulate of many years. I was able to get replacement nozzle's from EZ Pour, that pour the fuel very quickly without the Hassell of holding some trip lever. Just pour. Another thing about the EZ pour product they make them for every type of jug. I have them on all my jugs gas and diesel. They also have adapters from one jug to another. Hope this helps. TSC has them.It seems between the tractor, skid steer, backhoe and compactor that I am always running out of fuel. Granted I am doing the grading work to build a barn which will come to an end but I still think I want a better solution than 5-gal cans.
I see where flo fast has some 10gal and larger jugs but wonder if I really want to lug that up to the tractor top.
it may be that a pump system is warranted but that means something else to maintain.
want are folks on this forum using for the fueling storage and transfer?
