New kid in school, seeking advice.
Hello all. New to the forum and relatively new to the Kubota world. My only experience with a Kubota tractor was using using a BX2380 to mow the yard of the company I worked for when I was younger. It was a nice little tractor but I need/want something larger. My other tractor experience is...www.orangetractortalks.com
Thanks for your inputMy L2501 with loaded R4 tires and an empty loader was NOT friendly to my yard at all. Turf tires would've helped, but if it had rained within the last week, the L left shallow ruts and the tires chunked up grass.
My BX weighs a few hundred pounds more than an L2502 without a loader or loaded tires, and it'll leave light marks in the grass and the R4s will only tear up grass if I spin the tires. With turf tires on, it's generally fine unless I'm making really tight turning circles.
I say all of that to say that if you're running an L2502 with no loader and unloaded turf tires, you'd probably be fine if you're on pretty flat land as that setup is pretty light. I wouldn't try it on sloped land though as the center of gravity would be pretty high.
Not an option for me. I don't want to get into multiple machines. I need a "jack of all trades" machine and I realize it may not be perfect for every task.If you can get a tractor for tractor work and a zero turn for lawn work. Maybe they will give you a great deal?
I apologize for this but just can’t stop myself - you hit a jackpot on unintentional “dirty” statements in that post!if it wet enough to squish when walking I’d let it dry out before usingthe tractor on it.If it’s wet and sloped, that’s just playing with fire whether squishy or not.
Ifs it’s wet it leave a a mark.
The MX sighs a bit more and so long as not too wet it leaves an immediate mark but springs back up.
Only time I have left wetness marks was when I should not have been playing in the yard.

I take it you mean an RFM as your mower?Hi all, new to the forum.I'm currently looking at buying an L2502. My question is how many ppl use this for some lawn mowing?? Is it just too heavy for that type of work? I'm planning on using an 60" finish mower with it.
