I recently bought this tractor. The tires are pretty dry rotted and I am working on upgrading to R14 tires and the rims to accommodate them. I have bee scouring eBay for rims to limited success. I did find a regional dealer who has a set Trac Loader II tires on one piece rims as part of their inventory. I had planned on getting them next week...

I happened to be over at a friends place this weekend who had a used wheel set with worn out R4 tires but the right size rims. One of the rear two piece rims had a bolt center torn/broken out and I suspect my tractor may have had that happen too as one center had been replaced.

This made me wonder if this a fairy common issue wit two piece wheels. I did do a google search and saw some strings here that I can't find while on the forum now.

One of my questions is around whether these bigger industrial tires are harder on the two piece wheel centers due to the increased weight.

Another question is around the lead-lag. Have many here dealt with being out of spec by a bit only while off pavement as an acceptable tolerance? I typically only use 4x4 when needed. The R14 selector on the titan site with the calculator gets me close.

All things being equal, I'd like to go with the R14 tires over the Trac Loader II but want a reliable rim.

There is a lot of factors that cause a rim to break like that, very little has to do with the type of tire that is run on it.
They did have the rim center set at the extreme outer setting, so that probably didn't help things.

Thanks for the observation. That's the kind of help I was looking for. the same is true for my tractor now that you point it out.

Confirm the rim width, as R1 tires take narrower rims than R4 tires.
That has been my big issue, finding rims. The broken one of my friends pictured is a W15 with the 4 tabs as is my current W10 set up. The wheel set at the dealer has the rears as one piece rims.
