Top and Tilt kit via power beyond port for backhoe?

Hi All,

I'm a fairly new owner - have had my LX3310 for 3 years and still learning how to use it effectively. I had it delivered with a BH77 backhoe which is connected via what I *think* is called a "power beyond" loop. When I attach the backhoe, I unplug the hydraulic line (from itself) and into the backhoe. The return line goes back to the tractor. When I remove the backhoe, the hydraulic loop just plugs into itself.

I decided I needed a top and tilt kit to grade my gravel driveway and asked the local Kubota dealer about it. They quoted almost $3k to install.

My question is: can I install valves with quick disconnects to the power beyond port the backhoe uses? I won't ever be using the top and tilt with backhoe at the same time, so why wouldn't that work? The dealer told me "no way" but he has mislead me before.

Stock valves are nice but yes they are pricey.
Yes it's very possible to run off the BH loop.
You could also just as easily tap into the loader circuit and run the remotes off of that and make it a permanent setup.
Depending on which valves you use, you just might have to add a tank line which is simple enough to do.
@Summit Hydraulics is one of the vendors that can hook you up with the parts needed, look at them in the Vendor section, sometimes they offer discounts to OTT members on some things.

Yep, I was already looking at Summit. They have a couple of decent kits to do this (mostly). I'm going to call for advice from them on it. I wanted to get two valves for top-n-tilt and an extra for ... extra. Seems easy to do right now instead of mod later. I'm starting to wonder if my local Kubota dealer just isn't that knowledgeable about how the hydraulics work.

Just install the valve ahead of the PB connector for the BH77. It will be a permanent addition to yhe hydrailic circuit with or without the BH.

I think all of the dealers around here (I'm just north of you) have no clue about anything with a Kubota.
They just sell, service and support is lacking, and that's putting it nicely!
