I have a 2018 b2601, one day I went to go start it and I turn the key and glow plugs go on, I have all dash lights working and tractor lights. But the starter won’t turn over.
i found a bad neutral safety switch that was seized so I replaced that, all the other safety switches seem to be operational to my knowledge. I found some wires behind the dash that a mouse chewed through so I fixed those. Put in a new battery, and replaced the fuses including the 50amp.
when I first tried to jump the starter solenoid it would spin the starter but not engage the engine, so I then jumped the hot side of the solenoid to smaller wire coming off the solenoid and was able to start the tractor that way. When I go to check the voltage of that small wire there’s nothing.
the fuses aren’t blowing but besides tracing down a possible short in that wire in the harness is there anything else I should be looking for?
I can also start the tractor with that wire disconnected by jumping it while the pto switch is on, where as before if the pto switch was on it would not start. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
