Loader float question

My L3430 takes a serious push to get it to snap into float, and I believe it is getting even harder. Compared to my green 870 it takes about 4-5 times pressure, or more.
Is there any adjustment?

There is no adjustment but it might need cleaned and / or rebuilt.

Seemed like those conditions were mutually exclusive...

Edit: Even if those days may have been more rusty than dry...
