quik look....According to tractordata a BH77 is the OEM BH for the L2501.

OK. the B4672A is a 3PH backhoe, so 'yes' it will 'fit', providing you have ALL the mounting hardware.
You can get the manual for the BH off the Internet. A real quik scan of it shows charts of what it fits and how to install......best you get it a red.

3PH backhoes can put a lot of strain on the rockshaft, several here have destroyed their tractors but I know of another colour who after 70 years of use (NOT ABUSE ) both tractor and BH are fine.

After 5-6 posts you can post pictures and those will show whether it's just the hoe or has ALL the necessary 'bits and pieces'

You might be able to get that 4672 backhoe to fit your L2501. Local or otherwise, the real question is still should you do it or not? Your decision, but consider what you plan to do with it.
Occasional digging/trenching in mild soil conditions (i.e. light usage)? Take it easy and it might be OK. You would still be pressing your luck, though. If something went wrong, would manufacturer 's warranty still hold up?
Rock and stump removal, shale, caliche, hard clay and other tough soil conditions, commercial use (i.e. severe duty)? Skip the 3pt BH. Get a matching subframe type backhoe for your L2501.

more points to ponder.....
what's the cost of the BH ?
do you have a specific job that needs to be done ?
what would it cost to RENT a miniexcavator?

For sure a miniex will move more dirt faster than ANY tractor with backhoe and no risk of $$$ damage.

when I bought my BX23S 6 years ago ,it was that or a miniex. the 23 won as I knew it'd also toss compost, move 'skids of stuff' and does a LOT of 'good neighbour' help in return for free rnge eggs, home made strudles and young strong backs when I need them.
just looking at 'options' for you......

Yes, but the 4672A is a 3 point type and available used and local.
There is a lot of things that are available a could work but shouldn't be used!
This is one of those things that shouldn't be used!
Three point BH's are incredibly hard on the three point and are known for doing lots of damage.
The L2501's were not designed to have a three point BH on them.
They do not have a reinforceable three point top link.
They are designed to have a subframe mounted on them to support the BH.
