You guys are a lot more tech-savvy than I will ever be.

Got this one last week. Really like it so far.

Have put the outdoor sensor a couple different places testing reception and protection from rain, etc.

Couple on trees, and last in a window well on the north side of the house. I think better shielded from rain and out of direct sunlight.

Very nice! I've been thinking about upgrading the one I've had at the house for close to 10 years. Both outdoor temperature sensors failed within the last couple of years so I'm back to looking at the outside temperature on the HVAC display. I'll take a look at that model.

I have been running the Acurite Atlas model at my home and my cabin for the past three years without fail. Highly recommend the brand.

It always amazes me when the forecasters say we received say 20mm of rain but actually it is 6mm.

Thanks to you and @RCW I ordered an Atlas Direct-to-Wi-Fi display with lightning detection. Definitely a big upgrade over what I've been using for the past 10 years.

In a previous research engineering position I designed and made test racks and ordered a number of professional grade weather stations for test sites on various islands in Hawaii. Those systems were thousands of dollars each. Here are a couple of photos that I took. One is at the Kilauea Volcano and the other on Coconut Island but we had them all over the place.
