Filled up all the wildlife waterers(tubs, troughs and totes). Moved a temporary livestock water trough to my road/cattle lane. The only green grass left on the place is on the edges of my road. We could use some rain, the El Nina is not gonna help us over the Fall/Winter months.

Beautiful fall day. Sunny with a bit of coolness in the air +3 Celcius. Good time to prepare for the inevitable. Put the blower and pusher on. Greased it up and ready to roll.

I’m with @Moose7060 but on a MUCH smaller scale.

I think I mowed last time today.

Need to do a motor oil change and then get to putting the blower and chains on.

We’re supposed to warm up into the 60’s F for a few days, but I’m okay making the winter transition sooner than later.

Hello. Hi I'm new to the forum......
I dragged a dead b2100 tractor on and off my trailer today.
I bought a project today. Rusty, dirty but running, not driving, Problem with hst a hydraulic pipe leaking so no oil in it.
All 4 wheels locked so some fun loading and unloading. Not sure if there Is away to release it so it moves freely, the guy reckons they lock when not running?
It was dark when arrived home will look tomorrow.

I got the Jeep's winter hat back on this morning after running all summer with the soft top. The pallet forks really makes it a one-man job, both getting the hardtop on and off. It's getting colder now and no doubt snow is just a few weeks away.

Welcome to OTT!

I suggest you make a new thread under the “Service, Repair & Maintenance” topic with the same message.

Will get you more help, as there’s more pretty smart guys that focus on that topic.

Awesome! Such a great tractor and set up.

I saw today that it's supposed to be a wetter winter up here this year so hopefully that means lots of snow. 😃
I certainly hope so! Other than a few expected short stretches of miserable temperatures, winters really are so much fun. I believe the Old Farmers Alamanac is calling for near normal temps but a bit wetter in my area.

That's quite a load of pellets in the background. Is that your main heat source or just a less expensive back up over natural gas?

If you are putting on it's winter hat, how about some winter boots?

^^^ @ RCW,

I'm in the same county as you, so the unexpected long stretch of decent sunny warm weather has me doing some last minute items and tractor chores. It looks like at least five straight days of great weather.
The last week has been chilly with regular usage of the pellet stove.

My backhoe has been removed from my BX for more than a year. Likely closer to two years.
I simply haven't had any backhoe work to do.
Today, I removed my rear ballast barrel and three point hitch. Then the backhoe went on the BX.
It was my first backhoe install since acquiring the Bxpanded rolling backhoe cart. It's an easy job now.

Friday, (tomorrow) is two annual motorcycle safety inspections at a local repair shop.
Saturday, we are finishing the deer hunting stands and blinds work at the recreational property.
Sunday, mowing grass at the house.
Monday, I need to install a section of HDPE plastic culvert at the recreational property along with some vegetation/brush clearing and dirt work.
Tuesday, mowing grass at the recreational property.

It's going to be a BUSY five days!

These are the NOAA maps I saw today.
