Ts100 PTO stopping

What would cause the PTO on a Ts100 new holland tractor to keep stopping or not want to start and can I bypass whatever it is? Sometimes you pull the button 20 times for it to go.... Sometimes it stays running and Sometimes not. Running pto pumps it'll run for hours then randomly stop or stop in 10 mins. It doesn't seem to have an easy accessible solenoid I can just run power too to bypass the issue unless it's in a different location than by the pto housing?

I have a pump with a back suction and I need this on my backup pump.... all of my other tractors are either used daily or too small for it... or too big

hmm... 'pull the button' seems to say this is an electrically activated PTO ? If so,could be loose connection, frayed wire, bad ground, faulty coil ?

You have a computer that controls a solenoid valve. It monitors engine speed and PTO output shaft speed and decides for you if the PTO should be on or not. Does the tach work and all other transmission functions operate correctly?

It's a 12 volt solenoid, so I guess you could "hot wire" it and make it come on. It might start up a bit harsh that way, but should work.

I'm not sure whare the solenoid is, I did that on a deere once when the wire broke off but it was right by the pto housing.

Everything else works fine yes

The solenoid is on the PTO valve, which is inside the tractor. There are two wires on it. (power and ground) They come out of the main housing through a rubber bushing type thing as I recall. It's been too long since I worked on one. The second diagram shows the basic locations of the PTO clutch, valve, gears and such. The wires should be right in that area. The pigtail for it is probably part of the harness to the fuel tank float unit.
