Buying a new 2023 Kubota with 13 letters followed by 4 numbers. What does each letter & number mean?

probably not too much considering that Kubota says that's a 2024 tractor as it was sold in 2024......

The serial number for the tractor doesn't in it's self say much of anything.
But with that number you can have a dealer look up details on it like date sold and work done to the tractor by a dealer.

The L5460 I just bought at the very end of August , by VIN it’s a 2023 designated by the 10th digit being a “P”. But dealer told me it was “received” this year , around February and still considered a 2024 model. I’ll have to look at my insurance policy and see what they are calling it.
