Hey I’m getting my new GL 5460 next week and at the moment it has the L 2235 square back bucket sitting on it .
Think it’s worth the cost to go with the L2296 bucket and cutting edge instead ? The price is $868 for square back and $1,325 for round back plus $275 for cutting edge.
Or better off going with another brand for a HD bucket ?

Are you working with sticky materials?
If you are, then a round back is a better choice.
I have both and it doesn't make any difference with any of the materials that I work with.

I’ll be using it for snow removal. I was a little concerned about square back bucket not having a bolt on cutting edge, and then actual beefiness of bucket. But I’m really on a tight budget , so only want to spend money on the things I really need. I went with the 5460 instead of 6060 to save $1,900. And didn’t get any optional hydraulics. So that gives an idea of how tight of budget I’m on.
But don’t want to pay $825 for a square back and decide after I get it that I should’ve gotten the hd round back.
