Hey guys a question, I found a network on my computer and I have no idea what it is! So the network is NTGR VMB with a bunch of numbers after it. I am plugged right in to the modem and not the wifi. Anybody have a clue what this might be ?

Any wifi within signal distance will show along with signal strength, whether it is secure or open. All you need to worry about is having your connection password protected to prevent those other folks using it.

What do you mean network on your computer? It could just mean that your computer can see it, and there is no connection at all.
