Tamale Place on I20. My Son and his crew is working in Terry directional boring and placing a bunch of 12" pipe. I think new sewer pipe.

EDIT: Correction, it is new water mains. They are working out Midway Rd, etc.
Yes sir, sure are. I see them with the southcentral water boys, know em' well. We're off Dry grove, just saw em roundin my neighbors property.

They're doing a very respectable job putting peoples road frontage back together considering the amount of work.

I hope they didn't catch too much hell from Mr. Hand on Lebanon pinegrove, he can be a bit aggressive lol.

That is my son, his two sons, and one hired hand.

They try hard to do a good cleanup job. I'll have to pass along your kind words.

I passed your words on to my Son and he was very familiar with Mr Hand. He showed me a Google Earth picture of his entrance. A Grandson handled him. They are D4 Construction. (y)

I just had Hot Tamales and Grits for supper.

While I've no clue of the job's location, I certainly know how a water main job can be disruptive of a neighborhood.

There can be a lot of "sidewalk Superintendents." Sounds like you guys reference the same person. Good thing his grandson served as an intermediary.

@Magicman - - - your son and grandsons obviously do great work. 12" pipe can be tough up here directional.

Might be easier down there due to bury depth/soil type, but still think 12" isn't for the timid.

Good for them! (y)

They had to custom modify their back reamer to leave a hole large enough to push a 12" pipe with collars. They are probably pulling a 16" hole now so the collars will slide through. And yes, they have to push the pipe rather than being able to pull it through. I am proud of their startup company that is less than 5 years old. Their target market is fiber optic, but they are taking anything.

Reckon I had better soon cook something for them. ;)

Sounds like a good operation. Would love to see it in person, but I don’t leave Chenango County often.

My Probation Officer/ and Mrs. have to approve đŸ˜‰.

Lol, glad they got him handled.

No Mr. Hand really is a good ole fella. Just doesn't want his land messed with like anyone else. Not to be confused with the Mr. Hand round the corner who runs (may have just retired) southcentral water. He's a total douche.

Alot of us like to keep our road frontage cut and in order. Being that any county work that gets done around us always seems to end in disaster and peoples land being torn up, we were all quite concerned when they started heading our way.

But they really did do and are doing an amazing job. They spent a good amount of time at the corner of Mr. Swales property (ours is directly diagonal from him, dry grove and lebanon). Alot of work making that corner, plus having to go under his driveway. Looks fantastic and the grass is already coming back.

Last nights dinner....Pappardelle Bolognese (said only in the thickest of italian accents) basil from the garden, and some of the mrs homemade rolls:

N.Y,
Picked some onions and peppers from the garden. Cooked them up on the blackstone with a couple sausages. Fast samwiches with an oreo for dessert.

I came home from work (Sawmilling) and the wife asked what I wanted for lunch? Warm over Chinese I reckon. She said that she bought some baloney and that is what she had eaten. What? I have not eaten baloney in 30-40 years, so sure, fry me a slice. She said that it was thin so how about two? OK.

IMG_6456.JPG

She cut it in two to keep it from curling.

IMG_6457.JPG

So I added mustard and pickles and had a two ply baloney sammich. ;)

Takes me back - - -

After morning chores, my grandmother used to do fried baloney sammiches with a puffball slice, if I was fortunate enough to find a good one in the pasture.....side of pepperoncini for me.... đŸ˜‹

To the Mrs. chagrin, my daughters used to love fried SPAM and egg sammiches for breakfast.

I haven't bored you guys, but I'm still on the search for the Vienna Sausage Can missing the Pivot piece....;)

I bought a case of spam during the pandemic but still haven't worked up the courage to pop open a can to try it đŸ˜¬. I think it will be saved for the next lock down.

I think that Baloney/Bologna is whether you are full of crap or hungry and made from the same unmentionables as Vienna Sausage. I keep teasing my wife about Spam, but she says NO!!
