Hello, I have an M9540HDL (Low Profile) with the ROPS system. I am not sure of the year of the tractor as it belonged to my Father-in-law. All the specs say that the transmission is a 12 speed (6 high and 6 low). Mine has a 6 speed shifter with a H/M/L right side floor shifter, making it 18 speeds which is not even listed as an option on the TractorData site. The insurance company lists it as 2002 but I don't think Kubota made the M9540 in 2002. I think there was a misprint and it's actually 2012. I also cannot find the VIN anywhere on this thing. I spent an hour going up and down both sides and even found the engine plate on the valve cover but no VIN. I'm waiting on the dealer it was purchased from to call me back to see if they have a record of the purchase.

I am no expert but this is interesting

Tractor data is not the best source for any valid info.

What is the serial number, as there is 24 sub models of the M9540

ODD?
Serial number comes up as M8540.
Double check the number if you would.

And that model has a 8 x 3 transmission option (24 speed), so it's possible so did the M9540.

Contact a Kubota dealer and give them the vin and they will give you the year.
Tractors are dated off the sale date and not the made date.

How did you look up this VIN? Did it say what year this tractor is? I think my insurance company made a mistake. They listed it as 2002 but I think it should be 2012 (I don't think the M9540 was built until 2006/2007 - 2013).
I don't know if this will work in Canada, but I installed the myKubota app and registered my model and serial number. This gave me access to the owner's manual and a range of dates, can't remember if it was manufacture or sale, about a year range.
