Adding a few things to my BX1880 and one of them will be a quick hitch. My dealer sells Land Pride so that is what I am going to get, I have two choices the QH05 or the QH16 at this point I just have two implements I put on the back, the Kubota Ballast box or a old leveler. The QH05 is about half the price of the QH16 but is the QH16 worth the extra money? is having an adjustable top hook better in the long run? I leaning towards the QH05 but wanted to get some input from you fine folks!

I have the QH05 on my bx2380 and I mainly use it with landscape rake and a box blade. Have no experience with the QH16. have been using the QH05 for about 3 years now with no issues, it has always worked great.

I have a LP QH10 (no longer made), and it has a fixed top hook. I have: LP Quick Hitch ready mowers (rotary and finish), Dirt Dog box blade and a WoodMaxx MX series chipper; they all work without any modification.

I have a QH16 on my smaller tractor. Works great. The adjustable top hook is a nice feature, specially if you have older 3pt equipment.

I have the QH05 and I am not fond of it because I can't use it with all of my implements. I sold 2 landscape rakes because they wouldn't fit the QH05 and bought a new LandPride Landscape rake that is Quick Hitch Ready. If you buy the QH05 just make sure that everything that you purchase is Quick Hitch ready and don't take the sales persons statements as factual. Check for yourself.

Thanks for the replies, I currently only have two thing to attach to the 3 point.

1. Kubota Ballast box
2. Leveler

The leveler is a bit older but still in the 2000's.

That being said, I am the poster child for "Murphy's Law"...
Being that I have the BX1880 I'm limited to 48" implements so I'm still leaning towards the QH05 due to it's smaller size and lower price. But knowing that the QH16 is in stock at my dealers is also a motivation...

Princess auto has them on sale. Here is one on clearance. I have a similar one on a 60hp tractor for over two years with no issues.
Cat. 1 Quick Hitch (princessauto.com) This one is 188.83, can't go wrong at that price. I bent some 1/4x1 flat bar to reduce the lower hooks to true cat 1. This way I don't need to bother with the adapters. The extra piece at the top is for stuff that is not quick hitch compatible, as long as they fit the lower hooks you're good to go.

Choose the QH that's compatible with your attachments. My PA Speeco only works with about half of my attachments and I needed to modify it (make it 1/2" wider and notch under the top link for PTO clearance) to make it work.

If I bought another one I'd get the trapezoidal design. My preference would be to switch to the euro style lift arms with hooks.

Something I do is add washers to the lower pins to reduce the amount of side play. 20240809_091705.jpg 20240809_091723.jpg 20240809_091733.jpg 20240809_092049.jpg

I have Braber Equipment (BE) quick hitches on my Kubota B2620 since 2013, and on my 67 Ford 3000 diesel and have not had a single issue with them. They have adjustable top hooks and look identical to Land Pride and were exactly half the price.

I have the QH15 on my L3560 and it works well. I like the adjustable top link. I need to use the adjustable top link it to pick up my WoodMaxx chipper vs my Land Pride box blade and rotary cutter.
