My owners manual for my late production B7100HST list the 3pt lift max load capacity at 180kg or 400 lbs.

The manual also lists max weights for different implements , I assume based on how far back they hang off the 3pt. While it does not list a flail mower it does list a tiller which I would assume is going to be very close to a flail mower.

The max weight for a tiller is also 180kg and 400 lbs.

I don't understand the thread title compared to your post????

Do you have a B7000 or do you have a B7100, that your trying to run the flail behind?

The B7000 PTO is under HP of what the flail mower requires for a min, in the 10 to 12 range.
The three point capacity is at 375 which is right at weight of that implement.

The B7100 is at 13 HP and a lift weight of 400lbs.

The normal width of implements for the b7100 was 42" to 48"
You will still be right at min HP yet under on lift with the 42".

Lift and HP are where rated when it was new, and I'll bet your 40 / 50 year old tractor is down a bit on both lift capacity and HP.

Both the B7000 and the B7001 or 7100 have no trouble with a 4 foot tiller. But then again I do not have to run it at high rpm and the tiller and tractor are both in low range first gear fot tilling.

Right, I was just addressing the "lift" capacity of the 3pt and not the operational capabilities when it comes to a flail mower and the limited pto HP of these tractors.

Good luck in your efforts to choose a flail, hope to hear back with your impressions and results. :)(y)
