Wash a car or paint something outside. If you have the same luck I have, it will rain shortly afterwards!

Hope you get some moisture soon.

Just don't plant anything. It was cloudy yesterday morning, so I threw out some grass seed, the flash flood warning went 50 miles north of me.

STOP THAT! Quit pouring that out and wasting it! Mail it to me and I will pour it into what is becoming known as “Lake-Travis-Canyon-LakeBed”. :ROFLMAO:

The “Narrows” on Lk Travis…about 50 ft low at the 54-mile buoy….normally up to the vegetation line…

Normally, the stairway is over 3/4 ths submerged, (with a floating boathouse that rides the starway-rails at the foot of the photographer …. totally missing now…. sold for scrap.)

Been bit busy day, but a great day. We just signed at the title company to purchase the neighbors house & farm, adding another 18.5ac to our place.

The last 24 hour rain total, 4.45in
We needed this rain bad.

And the good news another low pressure may develop next week in the gulf.

Congrats on the purchase, and also, I guess, on the rain. With a little luck the next storm will bring you some more - but not too much - over the next few days.

SS, you're living high on the hog now!! Got rain and more adjoining property, nice.
Great news on both fronts!
Thanks guys!

We had the floors professionally cleaned (steam and water brushed) today at our new(previous owned) farm house. The tile floors will need a fresh coat of sealant after 24 to 30hrs.

We plan on doing a lot of painting as well, especially that pink bedroom. The boys bedrooms and guest bedroom are all equal in size and have good size walk-in closets.

On Saturday I got my hay delivery, I still plan on grabbing my 3 roll allowance this week and probably for the next couple weeks. If it stops raining for the summer, I'll be good til next spring. Too bad I didn't get bales before the rains hit.

At Cracker Barrel, Breakfast All Day!

I was catching up on some threads, I saw about half dozen posts from folks complaining about the heat, lol.

Heat index 112* and no telling what the temperature is on this metal? 130*to 140*+ ?

Doesn't take long to work up a bit of a sweat here, my straw hat is drenched.

Typical summer day here, and so it's always hot. I need to get the misting system going for my cows. My neighbor lost one today.

Working on finishing out my shop that we purchased with the neighbors place. It's been unfinished for a few years, 50% of the screws were never installed, therefore 5 pieces of tin needed to be replaced from wind damage. I have a few more days till it will be completed, minus the two, 12x12 doors. Trying to locate someone to buy from & that installs the two shop doors I need. Still needing to install the corner pieces, Jake trim and header trim and probably another 200 screws, and few more small pieces of tin above one the shop bays.

Sorry to hear about the cow. Do you figure it was the heat that took it?

The shop looks great. Lots of storage space and even better that it's wide open inside. What are the dimensions?
A 30x50, front side 14' tall with two 12' door openings, back of shop is 12' tall. It's framed for 3 windows and double door access on the side. I'm just trying to get it all roughed in so insurance will cover it (does not need to have the two bay doors installed for them to cover it). There is an elect panel there, I didn't check to see if it was a 100 or 200amp panel, but that should have been placed inside instead of mounted outside, I'm gonna see about moving that since the shop is not wired.

Future plans is to demolish the old mobile under the 40x80 carport and have an outdoor kitchen, butcher area and maybe 2 RV spots 69 style ( 1 pull through, 1 back in spot bc of septic location). lol I really meant to say, its going to be hay storage carport for the tax man.
