I broke the wire fitting on my pto solenoid and need to replace it. I’ve ordered the part from the dealer but the tech said the solenoid is welded. Is this true or is something I can change myself
Judging by what the parts list shows, the coil is part of the solenoid valve assembly, but other than access, I see no reason why you can't remove the snap ring, pop the unit out, put the new one in and be done.

We’ll my wife ordered the parts cause I work out of state. And the tech told her it was welded. I feel like they were trying to buffalo her so they could get that shop rate
