Can I jump start my BX2360 with my car? Ran out of fuel yesterday and jumped off without turning off the ignition (yes I know pretty stupid).

There’s probably a section in your operators manual showing the steps after running out of fuel, as I think you might need to bleed the system. It’s usually not as simple as adding fuel and turning it over. I realize that doesn’t answer your car question.

Yes you can jump start it with the car if need be.

You will probably need to bleed the air from your fuel system to get it running again. There is a specific procedure on your owner manual ot do this. It will require turning the engine over for starting. You can either charge your dead battery or jump from a car. A diesel engine takes a lot of power to turn over. Jumper cables may not provide enough power to do this. Charging may be your best option.

TO bleed the air, fill tank - get a good battery hooked up or jumped via your car, TURN the key until you hear the mechanical pump "buzz" - hold the key for at least 30 seconds - sometimes it may take 60 seconds. The pump will push all the air back to the tank and fill your line with fuel.

You can hear the pump change pitch when it starts pushing fuel!

Yes. The general rule is that if both batteries are 12 Volt you should be OK. I did this just last week and yes, I felt dumb.
