B2920 throttle pedal (forward/reverse) kill would not allow tractor to start, though glow plug, lights etc were working fine. Turns out there is a rod that depresses switch when in neutral, but over the years the guide sleeve gunked up and stuck rod in out position, preventing rod from depressing switch. Over last couple years, occasionally tractor wouldn’t start and I’d solve by working pedal back and forth until it would start. This time no luck.
I Removed switch from it’s slot and realized it was working fine, could start tractor by depressing switch with thumb while turning ignition. Sprayed WD40 inside sleeve and on polished portion of rod to free up. Repeated several times and wiped clean. Then added grease to rod shaft and worked it into sleeve. Now working fine.
