Looking for the size of the 2 bolts that is on the front of the B2650 ROPS half way up to keep it tight from rattling. I picked up a M8 1.25 x 25 mm yesterday but was too small

They just might be Imperial ( inch ) sized ,depending on where it was made ??
8mm = 5/16+- so maybe 3/8 bolts ??

Mine take a standard 3/8-16 NC bolt. Fits perfectly. I'd like to find a nice sized knob fitted on the bolt for hand tightening and loosening purposes.

The belt covers on LandPride finish mowers are 3/8" thread with approx 2 1/2" knob. They will screw right in.
This is what I ordered from Home Depot and they fit just fine.

6feettogo, that's interesting! Maybe they've used both types of bolts. After your post, I had to go check mine and they're definitely a standard 3/8-16 bolt size. Here's a couple of pics of the difference in the threads and the M1.25 pitch gauge next to the standard 3/8" bolt:
I even tried an M10-1.25 tap in the nut on my ROPS and there is no way it would thread in. It would be interesting to know if a standard 3/8 bolt would easily thread into your rops.....I suspect not. Very interesting.

Mine was a 2019 model. Not sure what yours is. I think I got the size from looking up the ones that Kubota uses (the ones with the knobs). If you go through these threads it show another person using these.

Thanks for those "threads". It appears the thread pitch and bolt size is anything but standard amongst the models and even within the same models. The M10-1.5 pitch mentioned is getting closer to my 3/8-16 thread but but still not even close. I even tried it again with an M10-1.5 tap. A definite no go. So now I feel pretty safe stating mine is a 3/8-16 NC thread and I'll look for those knobs that whitetiger mentioned.
My B2650 was purchased in the spring of 2018 so a little older than yours.
Its looking like people should make sure exactly what bolt/thread pitch they need for their tractor when looking to source those knobs.

A lot of the USA market only items on a Kubota are SAE. BX and RTV units have always used SAE wheel bolts, BX uses several SAE joints on linkages. Some units have USA only ROPS with SAE bolts in them.

I've never understood why anyone would use BOTH SAE and metric in their products. As a manufacturer, it's an inventory nightmare and a huge assembly problem. As a service shop...great..double the space needed for small parts and 2X the tools needed. As the homeowner all of the above PLUS a lot of time wasted trying to find the right bolt so you can get back to using the equipment. As a farmer that's cutting into the mighty thin profit margin.
I recall when it cost Ford of Canada millions of Canucks when 'somehow' 1000s of cars got 1/2" wheel nuts burped onto 12mm studs. The 5/8" airguns didn't see/feel the difference...
