The fronts was 130 for the pair on ebay and the rear was also on ebay sold by Summit Racing equipment and they were 190. each, shipping was free and with tax all came to 585.00 then I paid another 56.00 for mounting and disposal, not cheap but am real happy with the result. I was really impressed with the better traction. The Georgia red clay is really sticky and slick so the turfs were worthless.

They look great Jim!! Well done!

So, from the other post, these are the sizes you got:

Rear - 29 x 12.50 x 15 (RC = 88 inch @ 15psi) Carlisle TRU POWER
Front - 20 x 8 x 10 (RC = 62 inch @ 25psi) Kenda K378

I wonder if they would work on my B6100? I don't know if the front/rear gear ratio is the same as the B7100. Anybody know?

I would really like R1s, but can't find rims to fit. These would work with my existing rims.

EDIT: NO, it's the same ratio on the axle, but different ratio on trans,
So you could change to:
Fronts - 21 x 10 -10 with Rear - 29 x 12.50 -15
or
Front - 20 x 8 x 10 with Rears - 27 x 8.5 -15 . ;)

That's the exact same setup that I have on my B7100, and I love them! Best money spent, yet, on my tractor- right up there with the upgraded rear hubs.

I mis-stated my cost. Looked it up again this morning and I have 538 and change in the tires. Also like Hodge stated was the best purchase possible for my little tractor. The N. GA. red clay is super sticky and the turf tires would get stuck very easy. The AG tires clean well and provide some traction to move things. I should also mention like the original poster on this upgrade (dunk) I am running 25psi in the fronts because they are 1/2 inch shorter (20 vs 20.5) than the original tire.

This other thread on here is what has me worried that the ratios are different:

Default Re: Tire and wheel options for the 7100, doing my homework

The old tires didn't bind but the fronts did seem to pull a bit hard.
Originals were Bridgestone 6-12 front and 7-16 rear.

I think I may have found the problem, there are some differences in the tooth counts of the gears on the 2nd and reverse shafts inside the transmission. As it looks like the front driveshaft runs off the front of the reverse shaft, a change in ratios inside the trans will cause a change in front/rear ratio.
It's late and I'm going to try to figure out the ratio for the B6100 tomorrow.

So beware y'all. The B6100 and B7100 transmissions are NOT identical and the 1.464 ratio apparently only applies to the B7100!

Default Re: Tire and wheel options for the 7100, doing my homework
Just couldn't let it be....

The 4wd gear pair on a 7100 is a 16/24 set whereas a 6100 uses a 15/25 set

So
15 divided by 25 = 0.6 and
16 divided by 24 = 0.6667

0.6667 divided by 0.6 = 1.111

Now if we take the 1.464 ratio from a 7100 and divide by 1.111 we get a ratio of 1.317.
This makes sense when I look at the original tires which were 90RC rear and 69.5 RC front (90/69.5=1.295)

..... anyone in the market for a pair of 8-16 tires, less than 50 yards travelled on 'em?

So Sterno bought tires he thought would work based on the 1.464 ratio, but they didn't work out for him.

Any thoughts on this Wolfman? Or anyone?

Guitfiddle,
You were exactly right, I made a boo boo!
While they are the same front end differential ratio, the original front tire size is one size different, thus the gears in the trans are different.

I changed my wrong answer earier (just so people searching don't get the wrong answer!) here it is.

Thanks a lot Wolfman! Mine 6100 came with 12" rims on the front (which I think means it came with turfs). Any suggestions for 12" fronts, or else 10" rims?

I need at least industrials if not Ags, as I know the turfs won't haul a bottom plow and tiller through the soil.
Thanks again!

12" would denote that it came with AG's not turfs, turfs use a 10" rim.

You can readily buy 6-12 tires in a good AG tread.

Front:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Two-6-12-Ca...841038?hash=item3365d5c70e:g:tbQAAOSwZ1lWeXJ3

Rear:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/TWO-8-16-Ca...673715?hash=item2a5f7d4d33:g:y0oAAOSwX~dWlqMO

If you want the wide tires you will have to switch to the 10" rims for front and 15" rear rims as the 12" and 16" rims you have now will be too narrow.

Also note that the rears are also the turf rims as they are wider.

Not trying to feel stupid but will I need new rims to go to a Ag type tread tire I'm new to the group so if this has already be covered I am sorry. Please advise me to what I would need. Fronts at this time are 20 x 8.00 -10, and rear are 29 x 12.00 -15. Really not a fan of the turf tires. Any help would be great.
Thanks, Tim

Welcome, Tim!
That would depend on which ags that you are looking at. The ones pictured in this thread utilized the factory rims that held turfs before.

Rick, I think that the rim size is the same- its just the bolt pattern that's different.

I know this is an older post but I want to say "Thank you!" To Dunk for finding the Kenda 378 and to Hodge for repeatedly posting how well they work. I finally got a pair myself and agree they are a great upgrade from trailer tires! I switched from turf to Solideal "traction masters" on the rear.
