Howdy all.

I am in need of a new lawn mower. I have a 200X Cub Cadet RZT 50 (zero turn) and a 201X JD L135. I want one good mower that does not require me to work on it before I use it.

I like the zero turn and was looking at the Kubota's to replace them. I am wanting to know if I get the bagger will it pick up the autumn leaves? I have a lot of Oaks and Maples Hickory etc. I know I will have to empty the bags a lot.

I have a BX2380 with MMM and have looked at the TerraKing TKV 20, but it is not as easy with the BX to mow the yard with all the turning and backing up etc. The zero turn's do it a lot faster and better.

So will the bagger on the Kubota's zero turns pick leaves in the fall?

I have a z421 with a pull behind leave vac that I love. I had a normal bagger before that worked well I just got tired of emptying it every 5 minutes.

Which leaf vac do you have?

I was under the impression zero turns had a hard time pulling things like carts and leaf vac's.

How does it do pulling it?

I have a Graveley ProTurn 260 "don't hate" with the mulching blades that work great!
In regards to pulling with the Zero.. I have pulled my 5x10 trailer and lawn roller and can't tell either one is even hooked to it. Just don't stop in any slippery stuff!😁

I also have a cyclone rake and tow it with my ZD323. It tows fine when my hilly terrain is dry. Only problem I have is I forget to not turn sharp and sling the cyclone rake into something.

You can say that again.....I was pulling the aerator this weekend loaded down behind my commercial PT54 Husqvarna (Ok it's orange ;)) zero turn then got stung on the top of my head and while trying to swat it and stop on a damp slope, I slid into my 3 board fence. Oh well, a sore head from the wasp and bruised pride for the crash I finished my aerator work and then went on to repair the fence.

I also have one of the old hardside DR leafvacs that I tow behind my zero turn. I do run the gator blades when getting up leaves to help with the leaf shredding. No issues and sure makes leaf cleanup in the fall much easier.

I use my ZD326 to shred leaves and blow them to the fence lines. Works best when the leaves are dry.

For heavy leaf cover I work outside in, then do a second pass starting inside and working my way to the outside always in the same direction.

Gator blades do a nice job of shredding the leaves finely but doesn't blow the leaf mulch very far. I tend to stick with high lift blades and mow twice.
